Lighting Up Geometry: An Innovative Learning Model on Parts of a Circle

Image
As part of my B.Ed innovative work, I developed a creative and interactive learning model based on the topic “Parts of a Circle.” This model was designed to help students understand the fundamental components of a circle—such as the center, radius, diameter, chord, circumference, and arc —through a visual and experiential learning approach . The uniqueness of this model lies in its use of an electric light system . When the switch is turned on, specific parts of the circle light up, allowing students to visually identify and distinguish each part clearly.  This simple technological integration transforms abstract geometric definitions into a concrete and engaging learning experience.Students actively participated in identifying each part as the lights glowed, making learning both interactive and joyful. The model encouraged curiosity, observation, and concept-based learning rather than rote memorization. It also created a sense of excitement in the classroom, making geometr...

Blending Music, Movement & Math for Meaningful Learning;E content

Mathematics becomes magical when learning goes beyond chalk and board! To make the concept of area of a trapezium more engaging for 8th-grade learners, I created an innovative e-content package that combines a math song, an interactive game, and simple digital visuals. The goal was to help students understand the concept joyfully, remember the formula easily, and apply it confidently.  Take a look at my e content

Parallel Lines Made Simple: A Digital Textbook Approach

Image
Learning maths becomes more exciting when lessons come alive on the screen! To help students understand the topic Parallel Lines in a fun and easy way, a digital chapter was created. Instead of only reading definitions from a book, students can now watch pictures, interact with activities, play learning games, and explore real-life examples like railway tracks, notebook lines, and roads. This digital textbook makes maths interesting, colourful, and enjoyable. It encourages children to observe the world, think creatively, and understand concepts at their own pace. Chalk Dust and Turning Pages: My Teaching Practice Journey 9th week

Day -39 My class was scheduled during the last period, and most students were away for NCC parade or sports practice. Only seven students were present in the class.Since the number of students was very low, I could not proceed with the planned lesson. To make the session engaging, I organized several interesting games for the students. This helped maintain a positive and interactive classroom environment despite the low attendance. The students participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the activities, which also helped in strengthening classroom rapport. Day -40 Today I concluded the chapter similar triangle. I focused on problems related to similar triangle. Students actively participated and showed Good understanding while solving problems.

Day -32 Today, the school conducted its Annual Sports Day. The programme was well-planned and organized by the physical education department with the active support of teachers and student volunteers. The students were divided into four houses — Green, Yellow, Blue, and Red. The day began with an impressive march past performed by all four houses, followed by the hoisting of the school flag and an oath-taking ceremony. Various track and field events were conducted enthusiastically. Students participated with great energy and team spirit. The Yellow House emerged as the overall winner of the Sports Day. Selected students also qualified for the sub-district level sports events, which was a proud moment for the school. The entire programme ran smoothly and created a joyful atmosphere on campus. Day -33  Today I taught third way of proving triangle similar for class 9B. The class was highly interactive and engaging. Students actively participated in the activities. The practical...
