Celebrating Pedaxia – Convocation Day 2025
On 11th July 2025, Kaviayyttu College of Education witnessed an unforgettable day as it celebrated “Pedaxia – Convocation Day,” a proud and emotional milestone for the outgoing batch. The event was filled with joy, gratitude, and reflection, marking the successful completion of an academic journey and the beginning of new aspirations. The programme began with a solemn prayer, setting a reverent tone for the occasion. This was followed by a warm welcome speech by Dr. Liby Cheriyan, IQAC Co-ordinator and Assistant Professor of Physical Science, who extended heartfelt greetings to the guests, faculty, students,and parents.
The Principal, Dr. Deepthi Karunakaran, delivered the presidential address, highlighting the achievements of the batch and the values they carry forward. The official inauguration of the event added ceremonial dignity to the day, followed by the keynote address by Prof. (Dr.) Theresa Susan A., former Dean and Head, Department of Education, University of Kerala. Her speech inspired the audience with its message of wisdom, responsibility, and lifelong learning. Another important highlight was the release of the college magazine, introduced by Mrs. Jusna S., Magazine Editor (2023–2025 batch), which showcased the creative and academic spirit of the student body.
The most awaited moment—the graduation ceremony—began with the oath-taking led by Mr. Abin A., College Union Chairman, signifying the students’ commitment to uphold integrity and professionalism in their future roles. Graduates stepped up one by one to receive their certificates, a proud moment symbolizing years of dedication and growth. Smt. P. G. Thankamma, Secretary of the Kaviayyttu Educational & Charitable Trust, honored outstanding students by distributing endowment awards and mementos, adding to the joy of the occasion.
A touching valedictory speech was delivered by Mrs. Aparna S. Chandran, representing the outgoing batch. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to the teachers, peers, and college community, reminiscing the beautiful memories they made together. The turning of the tassel by the graduates was a symbolic moment, representing their transition from students to professionals ready to embrace the next chapter of life. The programme concluded with a sincere vote of thanks by Dr. Sreekala A. S., Assistant Professor of General Education, followed by the national anthem.
The entire event was a blend of pride, reflection, and celebration. Our seniors were visibly joyful as they received their hard-earned certificates, and the atmosphere was filled with love, applause, and hopeful beginnings.
