Celebrating Yoga Day 2025: A Moment of Peace and Wellness
Though the official International Yoga Day falls on June 21, at Kaviyattu College of Education, we celebrated this rejuvenating occasion a day earlier, on June 20, 2025, with great enthusiasm and inner calm.
The program began with an insightful introduction by Preethi ma’am, who highlighted the immense benefits of yoga in our daily lives. She emphasized how yoga not only strengthens the body but also nourishes the mind, helping us manage stress and maintain balance in today’s fast-paced world.
This year’s session was made more special by the fact that our instructor was none other than our dear peer Shainy, who gracefully stepped in as our regular yoga teacher couldn’t attend due to a personal loss. Shainy's calm presence and clear guidance created a comforting and inspiring atmosphere.
We practiced a series of basic yet powerful yoga poses including Vrikshasana (Tree Pose), Hasthasana (Raised Arms Pose), and Padmasana (Lotus Pose). Each posture reminded us of the importance of breath, focus, and mindfulness. The group performed with genuine interest, and the entire experience felt like a collective journey towards physical and mental well-being.
To capture these beautiful moments, we also clicked some photos—simple reminders of the peace and unity we shared that day.
The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Sreekala ma’am, who appreciated everyone's participation and acknowledged the efforts made to ensure the success of the event.
The Yoga Day celebration was not just an activity on our calendar—it was a soulful experience that left us feeling refreshed, centered, and more connected with ourselves and each other.
