EKTA–2025: A Beginning of Unity, Learning, and Togetherness
Day 1 – Community Living Camp, Kaviyattu College of Education
The EKTA–2025 Community Living Camp, themed “Unity for Community”, began on 24th November 2025 at the Seminar Hall of Kaviyattu College of Education with great enthusiasm, discipline, and a deep sense of purpose. The first day marked a meaningful beginning to the five-day camp, setting a strong foundation for unity, cooperation, social responsibility, and collective living among student teachers.
The camp was formally inaugurated by Mr. Jose D. Sujeev Sir, a retired English teacher and recipient of Asian, National, and State Best Teacher Awards. His presence added inspiration and dignity to the occasion. The Presidential Address by Dr. Deepthi Miss, Principal of Kaviyattu College of Education, beautifully emphasized the importance of unity, leadership, cooperation, discipline, and social responsibility in the B.Ed. curriculum. Her words motivated student teachers to see the camp not just as an event, but as a platform for value-based learning.
Mr. Sujeev Sir’s inspiring speech on community living deeply touched the participants. He encouraged student teachers to treat the camp as a real-life classroom where values, relationships, and responsibilities are practiced beyond textbooks.
The post-inaugural session featured an informative Cyber Awareness Programme, where student teachers learned about digital safety, cyber threats, and responsible technology use. Information about platforms like TAF-COP, Chakshu App, Sanchar Saathi App, and the cybercrime helpline 1930 made the session highly relevant and practical for modern life.
The post-lunch Ice-Breaking Session created a joyful and energetic environment. Through interactive activities and group tasks, student teachers built friendships, confidence, and teamwork. A creative newspaper activity further enhanced innovation, cooperation, and problem-solving skills, proving that learning can be joyful and meaningful.
The day concluded with a tea session, filled with informal interactions and shared smiles, ending the first day on a warm and enthusiastic note.
✨ Day 1 of EKTA–2025 was not just a programme—it was a beautiful beginning of unity, bonding, learning, and community spirit. It successfully laid a strong emotional and moral foundation for the days ahead, truly reflecting the essence of the theme “Unity for Community.”
